1000thousand Steps
The delightful stall holder’s enthusiasm for his family’s products was overflowing, at Alnwick Festival in August 2025. Beautifully handmade, and he was particularly proud of the textures, gold and silver leaf additions, and especially the different perspectives each viewer comes away with. I was drawn to the Picasso-like pieces, and because I do enjoy a good soirée, the bottle holders caught my eye. Though I could have gone for the full pictures too.
The quality and craftsmanship shines through, no two pieces the same, and I’m now the proud owner of a bottle holder. Lacquer covered, gold leaf and eggshell adding to the texture - all natural. A few pictures to whet your appetite here, and I hope we can encourage this company to keep producing one of Vietnam’s national art forms. Bravo 👏

I had this beautiful bamboo bowl bought as a birthday gift. It's well made using sustainable bamboo and mesmerising in its ornate egg shell intricate decoration. I use it every day to store my little bits and pieces!

Handcrafted Bamboo Vase
This was bought at a local fare. I was after a decorative little vase and this caught my eye. The vase has a very good finish with pearlescent shell inlays around the vase that sparkle in the light. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely handcrafted item for the home, office or a gift for someone.
